We’ll discuss the features of each lock below to help you decide the one that works best for you.
Smart Locks that Work with Vivint: Features
1. Kwikset SmartCode 888 Smart Lock
The Kwikset SmartCode 888 Smart Lock uses Z-wave plus to connect to other devices. Given that Vivint also works well with Z-wave, it’s no wonder that both devices are compatible.
This smart lock offers an auto-lock feature that locks your door automatically if you leave it unlocked for over 30 minutes. So, even if you forget to lock your door, no one will gain access to it without your permission.
If your friend wants to enter your home while you are away, you can program an access code into the lock and give it to them. This device also lets you delete the access code whenever you want.
Another feature on this Kwikset smart lock that restricts access to your home is the Smartkey Security. The Smartkey Security alerts you when someone is trying to force their entry into your home.
2. Kwikset SmartCode 910 Smart Lock
The Kwikset SmartCode 910 Smart Lock uses the Z-wave protocol, which lets it pair with the Vivint security system.
This lock is a perfect choice if you want a smart lock you can control with your voice. You can integrate the lock with Alexa, then use voice commands to lock or unlock your door.
You can also add 30 access codes on the lock, which you can customize and give to other occupants in your home.
3. Kwikset SmartCode 914 Deadbolt
The Kwikset SmartCode 914 Deadbolt also works well with Vivint. It is compatible with Z-wave devices, one of which is the Vivint smart security system.
If you like using the traditional key but still want to enjoy the exclusive benefits a smart lock offers, you’ll enjoy using this lock. It provides users with two entry methods: key and keyless. So, if you can’t remember your entry code, you can use the key to unlock your door.
You don’t have to waste time looking for your key when you lose it. This device has the Kwikset SmartKey Technology that allows you to rekey the lock in minutes.
4. Kwikset SmartCode 916 Deadbolt
The Kwikset SmartCode 916 Deadbolt has all the features offered across different Kwikset locks: auto-lock, key and keyless entry, SmartKey Security, voice control, and access codes. This is why this lock is more expensive than other locks manufactured under the Kwikset brand.
The Kwikset SmartCode 916 Deadbolt supports Z-Wave, which enables it to connect to Vivint and other other Z-wave compatible devices.
So that’s it. As you can see, Vivint mainly works with Kwikset Z-Wave locks, and we have featured the best ones you can consider.
What more? Let’s look at how to integrate any of these Kwikset locks with the Vivint security system.
